This Photogallery has images of the Borders Young Driver Challenge 2006, which took place at Netherdale, Galashiels, on Wednesday 31st May and Saturday 3rd June. The images were taken at the Saturday event, and include shots of the "admin marquee" with some of our Observers*, the new Motorcycle Safety Camera Unit, a crashed vehicle, a sequence of images of the emergency services dealing with a "staged" accident, and pictures of the winners.
*Our Observer team, which included Bill Allison, Bob McKendrick, Peter Sandison, and Jack Wilson, helped judge the Driving Assessment part of the Competition; Charlie Dodds kept us all in order from the Admin Marquee!

Observers from the Borders Group of Advanced Motorists participated in this new and unique event for the "over 50's" driver, which took place on Sunday 26th August, 2007, at the Focus Centre, Livingston Place, Galashiels.
